Indigenous Youth Led Festival

Indigenous youths took an inspiring lead on the Water, Land, and Forest Indigenous Festival held this past weekend as part of the 15th Cambodia International Film Festival (CIFF 2026). Their active participation highlighted the strength, creativity, and pride of Indigenous communities in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.

From vibrant exhibitions and traditional performances to meaningful ritual celebrations, our youth demonstrated leadership, talent, and deep cultural connection throughout the event. Their presence not only celebrated identity but also raised awareness on the importance of protecting natural resources and sustaining Indigenous knowledge.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers CIWA, CIYA, CIPO, CIPA, Bophana Center, and Remade in Cambodia—for creating this powerful platform and for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful and inspiring space.
